In the first of the Mary Johnston Author Series, the Kankakee Public Library, in association with the Friends of the Library, are proud to present Christopher Paul Curtis. Mr. Curtis is the author of numerous children’s books, including, The Watsons go to Birmingham-1963 and Bud, Not Buddy which was the first book ever to receive both the Newbery Medal and the Coretta Scott King Author Award.
