Project Next Generation is an exciting program sponsored by Jesse White, Secretary of State and State Librarian, to give students the opportunity to experience new computer technologies, explore life skills, and have fun at the library. The 2008 Summer Session of PNG will be for student’s ages 10, 11, 12 & 13. Additionally, teens that have participated in the prior fall and winter sessions may continue PNG this summer.

Where? – At the Kankakee Public Library (2nd Floor)
When? – Tuesday & Wednesday from 10:00am to 12:30pm. The program will begin June 3, 2008 and conclude July 12, 2008 (days and times may vary for some field trips)
Who? – Students ages 10, 11, 12, 13 and prior FY 08 PNG Teens
Orientation – A mandatory parent meeting is scheduled for June 2, 2008 from 7:00pm – 8:00pm to meet the mentors, discuss the program and answer any questions.
Cost? – There is no charge to participate in Project Next Generation or for any of the program’s field trips or activities. Participants are expected to commit to the entire length of the program.
